Sarah Rianhard Gardner (b. USA) received a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art. Sarah was a founding member of the Black Lark Gallery artist collective (2007-2008) and an active member of the community interest group PLAY (2004-2007) which facilitated creative experiences for families through art, music and play. Building on her interests regarding the associated benefits of play and creativity for children and families, Sarah received an MSc in Health Through Occupation from the University of Brighton in 2010. She has continued to work professionally in this field whilst maintaining a creative practice.
Sarah maintains a studio based practice working primarily in the mediums of drawing, painting and printmaking with an interest in painting as an expanded field of practice. She is a currently completing the Turps Hastings Offsite Studio Mentoring programme in 2023-25. Sarah has exhibited both nationally and internationally, with works held in private collections in the UK, Europe and United States. She currently lives and works in St. Leonards on Sea, UK.
